Judith Nemer was a leading HIV/AIDS advocate in Western Australia whose activism was shaped by the loss of her son Greg to an AIDS-related illness in 1988. A board member of People Living With HIV/AIDS WA, she created the first panel of the Western Australian AIDS Memorial Quilt in Greg’s memory and founded the Greg Nemer Foundation to fund community support and pastoral care. She was instrumental in peer support, education, and anti-discrimination work, challenging stigma and building services for people with HIV across the state.
