Kenn Basham was a Canberra-based HIV advocate and community leader whose work helped shape the ACT’s peer-led HIV response. Active from the late 1980s, he was involved in the foundation and development of People Living With HIV/AIDS ACT (PLWHA ACT), representing the voices and needs of positive people in local and national policy discussions. Basham worked to expand support networks, improve access to health services, and combat stigma, collaborating with the AIDS Action Council of the ACT and other community organisations.
